Right from the beginning of my time at a_space, they wanted to make it clear to the public that they are an Australian company that designs and produces it’s products here in Australia, setting themselves apart from some of their main competitors. Cohesiviness was also very important to the marketing team right from the beginning.

Process
a_space did have a mark they were using to communicate the ‘Australian designed and made’ alongside one other different one, neither of these worked perfectly across varying applications for different things such as EDMs, banners, tender submissions, product profile sheets, web, etc.
Final motif mark and variations for different applications
Working with their old motifs as inspirations, I created a brand new one with secondary mark variations and inverse versions to keep some level of consistancy while also allowing for its use in many different applications.
